First-of-a-kind synthetic aviation fuel facility
First-of-a-kind synthetic aviation fuel facility
Overview
The AIRCO SAF Factory
The AIRCO SAF Factory is a fully integrated synthetic aviation fuel facility designed to use AIRCO’s AIRMADE® SAF technology at commercial scale and establish a repeatable factory model.
Using captured carbon dioxide and low-carbon hydrogen, the facility produces finished aviation fuel through the AIRMADE® SAF pathway under real operating conditions. Developed as a bankable reference plant, it demonstrates performance, operability, and repeatability at scale, creating a clear template for subsequent facilities.
Planned scale
~10 million gallons per year (target)
Target commercial operation
2031 (subject to project development)
Application
How It fits into AIRCO’s platform
The AIRCO SAF Factory is built on AIRCO’s AIRMADE® SAF process technology—the same core pathway that powers the AIRCO MAD Fuel System.
Together, these products represent different scales of the same platform: deployable, on-site fuel production through MAD, and factory-scale SAF production through the AIRCO SAF Factory.
